Program Objectives

Acquire the knowledge, ability and attitude necessary to become a qualified sales representative in wholesale, establish and maintain long-term relationships with customers, manage sales territories, and adapt quickly and easily to a wholesale establishment.

Admission Conditions and Prerequisites

To be eligible for admission to the Sales Representation program, candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

Persons who hold a DVS will be granted recognition of equivalent learning.
OR
Persons practising an occupation related to the program of study.

Functional Prerequisites

Please note that the functional prerequisites do not apply to attestation of vocational specialty programs (AVS).

Sales Representative

Sales representatives, also referred to as salespeople, promote products and services to retailers and wholesalers, and offer a consulting service that aims to increase sales. They negotiate terms, draw up sales contracts, calculate discounts, sale prices, profit margins, etc. As part of their duties, they may be required to provide after-sales service. This is a stimulating occupation that requires communication and leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure. A career as a sales representative is suitable for self-reliant, outgoing and courteous people.
