Our program will provide a basic and advanced understanding of hairdressing techniques. You will acquire a comprehensive range of skills to assess clients’ needs.

Once successfully completed all previous competencies that lead to practicum (which classes consist of regular lectures, demonstrations, and practice of skills on client day), students engage in a three-week practicum in a partnership salon or salon of their choice. Students will have opportunities to experience and participate in the day-to-day tasks of salon life. Safety and hygienic practices are emphasized, reinforced, and practiced throughout the practicum. Some students will also have the opportunity to venture into other skills, such as shampooing the hair, hair & scalp treatments, colouring the hair, etc.
