IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE APPLYING FOR THIS PROGRAM :
The Support for Assistance in Health and Social Services program replaced the DVS in Institutional and Home Care Assistance. This training program prepares you to become a Beneficiary Attendant (PAB) or Health and social services assistant (ASSS). The training last 705 hours and leads to a Skills Training Certificate (STC). This is a minimum qualification you must succeed to obtain a PAB or ASSS position within the CIUSSS and CHUS.
All students enrolled in this vocational training program are also enrolled in the Eastern Township School Board's general adult education program. While in training in Lennoxville or Granby, students have access to the services of a socio-professional integration professional. This initiative helps students master the soft skills they need to become effective and well equipped to face the changing realities of the job market.

Le programme d’études Soutien aux services d’assistance en établissement de santé et de service sociaux était offert en remplacement du DEP en Assistance à la personne en établissement et à domicile. Ce programme de formation vous prépare à devenir Préposé.e aux bénéficiaires (PAB) ou Auxiliaire aux services de santé et sociaux (ASSS). La formation est d’une durée de 705 h et mène à une attestation d’études professionnelle (AEP). Il s’agit d’une qualification que vous devez minimalement réussir pour obtenir un poste de PAB ou d’ASSS au sein des CIUSSS et des CHUS.
Tous les étudiants inscrits à ce programme de formation professionnelle sont également inscrits au programme d’éducation générale des adultes de Eastern Township School Board. Pendant son séjour en formation à Lennoxville ou Granby, l’étudiant a accès aux services d’un professionnel de l’intégration socioprofessionnelle. Cette initiative aide les étudiants à maîtriser les compétences générales nécessaires pour devenir une personne efficace et bien équipée à faire face aux réalités changeantes du marché de travail.
To be eligible for admission to the Support for Assistive Services in Health and Social Services Institutions program leading to an STC, candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
• Have obtained at least Secondary III credits or the equivalent in the language of instruction (LI), second language (SL) and mathematics
OR
• Hold an Attestation of Equivalence of Secondary Studies (AESS)
OR
• Have passed the General Development Test (GDT) and the following specific prerequisites in the language of instruction: ENG 3101-1 and ENG 3102-2, or have been granted recognition for equivalent learning
