Students learn the principles of drafting, using the latest software and applying building code standards to all aspects of residential and commercial drawing.  At the end of the program, graduates demonstrate their professional skills by participating in a three-week work-study program in the industry.

To complete the program, students put their skills to practice by doing a 120-hour internship at a company of their choice. The place of internship may include any company or professional organization that incorporates drafting or drafting-related tasks studied throughout the program. At the conclusion of the internship, students return to the classroom one last time to share their experience with teachers and classmates in a final work-study presentation.
