Program Objectives

This program is designed to train students to be technicians in social work. They will be capable of intervening on an individual, family, group, or community level concerning different social problems and will be able to help people attain their needs, defend their rights and promote social change.

Total length of training includes general training that is common to all programs for 420 hours, general training for this program for 150 hours as well as complementary general training courses for 90 hours.


Duration of training consists of theory and lab work for courses; personal time that the student invests is excluded.

Social Service Worker

Social service workers accompany groups, families and individuals experiencing personal, family or social issues. They help people defend their individual and collective rights and help them come up with solutions. As part of their duties, they may host groups, perform evaluations, do research and elaborate intervention plans. It is an essential profession where work is done within a multidisciplinary team. It is suitable for empathetic, discreet, respectful and vigilant people who want to help others. A job as a social service worker also requires communication and analytical skills.
