How can I make an application to a technical training program (college level)?

To make an application to a DCS program in a public college, you must use SRAM, SRACQ or SRASL depending on your region.

To apply to any other type of program or course, public or private, (ACS, customized courses, services to business and industry, night classes, etc.), contact the establishment that interests you as the process may differ from one college to another.

How do I make an application in vocational training (secondary level)?

To make an application to a DVS or AVS program in the public sector, you can go to the Service régional d'admission en formation professionnelle (SRAFP.com) and make your application online..

For any other type of program or course, in the public or private sector, (AEP, customized courses, services to business and industry, night classes, etc.), contact the establishment that interests you as the process may differ from one establishment to another.

What search engines are available?

A search box is available in the top banner of all our pages. The search is launched in all the dossiers and files on our site.

To search for any type of program, click on Find a program in the Training programs section on our homepage. This is a general search for any type of program. You can search for a program by name or program number, by type of program, by sector, by region and by language. Once the program is found you can also display the establishments offering the program.

To find places available in vocational training programs, click on Find a program in the Training programs section on our home page and select Offres de service et statistiques d'admission. This link is also available in the Educational Organizations section on our home page.

To find an establishment, click on « Find an organization or establshment » in the Organizations and Establishments section on our homepage. You can search for a school board, college or training centre. You can also find the establishments in a region or city.

To find VT representatives and personnel in school boards (principals, VT coordinators, etc.), click on VT Directory in the VTT contributors section on home page.

What is the difference between a DCS and an ACS?

- DCS: Technical training program that leads to a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS). These programs are generally three years long. Some are offered under the work-study program. Some are paired up with a DVS (DEP-DEC) and others with a Bachelor's degree (DEC-BAC).

- ACS: Technical training program that leads to an Attestation of Collegial Studies (ACS). These programs are part of the continuing education program and are offered to adults. ACS programs are generally one year long and are developed by the college. These programs are composed of technical competencies related to the profession and do not include mandatory courses in French, humanities, English, physical education or complementary courses. Certain training programs are financed by Emploi-Québec.

What is the difference between a DVS, AVS and an STC? ?

- DVS: Vocational training program that leads to a diploma of vocational studies (DVS). Schedules and duration of the program vary. Consult the offers of service on Inforoute FPT. Some are offered as work-study programs or are paired up with a DCS (DEP-DEC). Some are financed by Emploi-Québec.

- AVS: Vocational training program that leads to an attestation of vocational specialty (AVS). These programs are specialization programs that follow a DVS (example: Legal secretary offered after a DVS in Secretarial studies). They may also be offered to those who already have experience and competencies deemed equivalent to a DVS.

- STC: Short duration vocational training program that leads to a skills training certificate. These programs are developed and put in place by school boards and aim to respond quickly to a regional need/market.

How do I find a distance education course or program in the vocational sector?

Where can I find pdf files for programs, AST, studies, pedagogical guides , etc. on the Inforoute FPT site?

The publications available in .pdf format are vocational and technical training programs, work situation analysis, different studies (preliminary and needs), sector analysis, pedagogical/organizational guides, specification tables, certain TAPs, etc.

Publications are grouped together in a password-protected section. Further more, in order to protect our expertise, only representatives from Québec have access. Managers for establishments that are members of Inforoute FPT can use their special services access code. Contact the representative for your school board or college if you have forgotten it. If your establishment is not a member yet of Inforoute FPT, contact us at info@inforoutefpt.org or by phone at 514 864-2200to obtain an access code.

To access the publications, you can click on the Publications (Protected section) section under FPT in the ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur on our home page.

What do I do if I can't find the publications I need on the Inforoute FPT website?

You can consult the MEES documentation centre at http://www.education.gouv.qc.ca/references/publications/

How can I find out when new sessions are offered?

You can register for our Info-courriel FPT service in order to receive an e-mail notice when new sessions are offered for a program and establishment of your choice.

Go to our home page and enter your e-mail address in the window of the Info-courriel FPT section. Make your selections. To modify or delete later on, just re-enter your e-mail address and follow the instructions.

Official MEES publications

By official publications, we are referring to vocational and technical training programs, work analysis situations, different preliminary and needs studies, sector analysis, pedagogical or organizational guides, specification tables, etc.

In order to protect the expertise in Québec, only representatives from Québec have access.

You must have a username and password to access this area. Managers at establishments that are members of Inforoute FPT can use their special services access code. Contact the representative from your school board or college if you have forgotten it. If your establishment is not a member yet of Inforoute FPT, contact us at info@inforoutefpt.org or by phone at 514 864-2200 to get an access code.

Inforoute FPT Intranet (Special services)

Establishments that are members of Inforoute FPT benefit from privileges (see the Services offered section) that allow them to display certain information specific to their establishment on the Inforoute FPT website, and therefore benefit from better visibility on the Internet. Internet users can access information added by the establishment either by using our search engines or by the corresponding dossier.

To access the special services section as a manager, click on Intranet in the navigation banner at the top of our homepage.

Intranet des Services aux entreprises

Le site des Services aux entreprises est accessible par la page d'accueil de l'Inforoute FPT dans la section Entreprise ou en utilisant le lien sae.inforoutefpt.org.

Sur le site des SAE, une section protégée par code d'accès (Intranet) est réservée aux gestionnaires des commissions scolaires et des collèges. Un seul code d'accès doit être créé pour tous les gestionnaires d'un même établissement. Ce code d'accès est créé et géré par le répondant de niveau 2 des services privilégiés dans chacun des collèges et commissions scolaires.
