4 Easy Steps to Submit a Vocational Training Admission Application in Québec

Applying for vocational training programs—whether a DEP, ASP, or AEP—is simpler than you think. No bureaucratic headaches: just four clear steps and you’re closer to launching your career. Ready to take action? Here’s how to apply via AdmissionFP, stress-free and direct.

Step 1: Search for Your Desired Training Program

Head to AdmissionFP, managed by Inforoute FPT and partnered with the Québec Ministry of Education. Browse programs via the “Programmes et formations” menu or search by keyword if you already know what you want. You’ll find full descriptions and eligibility details.

You may consult the complete list of programs and trainings offered by clicking on the “Programs and Trainings” tab. From the search engine in the main menu, you can also perform a search using key words.

You can refine your search according to the type of training (DVS, AVS, etc.), language of instruction (English or French), region, as well as training sector. By clicking on a program name, you can consult the program details.

We recommend ensuring you meet the admission requirements outlined on the program page before continuing to the next step.

Step 2: Find a School Offering the Program

Step 2: Find a School Offering the Program

Once you've selected your program, choose from training centres (CFPs) that offer that program. Compare by location, intake dates, and available seats. Some programs require prerequisites—these are listed on the program page, so double-check before proceeding.

Step 3: Choose an Available Group

If multiple cohorts are available, review the details by clicking on the group code. Each group is colour-coded: green, yellow, or red indicates its admission status. Also review start and end dates before making your selection.

Step 4: Submit Your Online Admission Application

Step 4: Submit Your Online Admission Application

You’ve selected your program, institution, and intake group—now it’s time to apply. Admission requirements vary, but generally include:

  • Being at least 16 by June 30 of the current year
  • Completing specific prerequisites (e.g. Secondary 3 or 4 in French, math, science)
  • In some cases, adult applicants may qualify via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL/RAC)

Click “Submit admission application”, then answer the online questionnaire. You’ll need to upload required documents:

  • Birth certificate or ID
  • School transcripts or report cards
  • Proof of Québec residence (if applicable)
  • Application or review fees (if applicable)
  • Digitize and upload your documents directly to your AdmissionFP profile once submitted
