Objectifs du programme

At the end of the program, the student will be more specific in measurement within the framework of a process of resolution of problems, able to include/understand the constraints inherent in the accomplishment of a project; able to gather the relevant data (market surveys, materials, manufactoring processes); able to take part in the development of the concept and the product and in the modification of existing products; able to carry out drawings for presentations; to work out models, prototypes and assemblies; able to develop and produce technical drawings and estimates in design (drawings of sets, subsets, details).

Total length of training includes general training that is common to all programs for 420 hours, general training for this program for 150 hours as well as complementary general training courses for 90 hours.

Duration of training consists of theory and lab work for courses; personal time that the student invests is excluded.

Industrial Design Techniques

Les designers industriels conçoivent, développent et dessinent des produits en collaboration avec des ingénieurs et des spécialistes du marketing. Ils rassemblent des données sur les matériaux, les procédés de fabrication et des études de marché. Ils réalisent des modèles 3D ainsi que des prototypes et assurent la gestion de projets. C’est un métier créatif qui demande un sens esthétique très développé ainsi que des aptitudes pour le dessin et pour le travail en équipe. Une carrière comme designer industriel exige un bon sens de l’organisation, une tolérance à la précarité et une personnalité polyvalente, débrouillarde et curieuse.
