Geological technologists conduct geological, geochemical and geophysical surveys in collaboration with geologists. They conduct mineral deposit research projects, take samples and map out mineralized zones and control soil stability. As part of their duties, they may be responsible for supervising exploratory boring trips for mineral resources.
