Automotive glass and aftermarket part technicians inspect, repair, and install automotive glass and various aftermarket parts. Aftermarket parts and services include: vehicle marking, vehicle accessories, car window tinted film, paint protection film (PPF), or “chip guard,” applied to the exterior of a vehicle’s body, electronic systems, rust-proofing, ADAS recalibration, tire installation, recommending services or products.

A person who meets the following conditions is eligible for admission to a program of study leading to an STC:1. Have obtained at least Secondary III credits or the equivalent in the language of instruction, second language and mathematicsor Have obtained an Attestation of Equivalence of Secondary V Studies (AESS)or Have successfully completed the General Development Test (GDT) with or without specific prerequisites2. Have interrupted their full-time studies for at least 12 monthsor Are 18 years old when entering trainingor Have obtained a Secondary School Diploma (SSD) or a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) or their equivalentor Meet the eligibility conditions of Services Québec's workforce training measureX This program is accessible via the TCST-STC bridge.
