Shipyard workers may carry out work related to metallurgy, painting, mechanics or plumbing. They can assemble and install finishing elements and fix electrical cable trays. Depending on the needs of the shipyard, workers may be called upon to install scaffolding, access equipment and temporary shelters. They may also take part in draining and launching operations. Finally, shipyard workers may act as supervisors during hot work and while working in confined spaces or at heights.
