Objectifs du programme

The Aircraft Maintenance program aims to train technicians to work in an aircraft organization, repair centres, and manufacturing centres. These technicians will be able to provide maintainance on motors, aircraft, propellers and helicopters. They will also assure the maintenance of aircraft, flight controls and instrumentation systems. Aircraft maintenance technicians will also perform unplanned inspection in addition to performing the activities related to the design and manufacturing of aircraft components.

Total length of training includes general training that is common to all programs for 420 hours, general training for this program for 150 hours as well as complementary general training courses for 90 hours.

Duration of training consists of theory and lab work for courses; personal time that the student invests is excluded.

Mécanicien et contrôleur d'aéronefs

Les mécaniciennes et les mécaniciens d’aéronefs, aussi appelés contrôleurs d’aéronefs ou techniciens d’entretien d’avions, inspectent et vérifient les différents composants et systèmes présents sur des avions et des hélicoptères (systèmes hydrauliques, moteurs, turbines, systèmes de navigation, structures, etc.). Ils détectent les problèmes techniques, effectuent la maintenance et la réparation et rédigent des rapports techniques. Une carrière comme mécanicien d’aéronefs exige une personnalité responsable, minutieuse et autonome. C’est un métier stimulant pour les personnes qui aiment résoudre des problèmes et s’intéressent aux nouvelles technologies.
